Bess McBride travels the United States in a recreational vehicle in search of her next story!

Born in Aruba to American gypsy parents and raised among the oil fields of Venezuela until age twelve when her family returned to the U.S., Bess wasted no time in returning to the road by joining the U.S. Air Force at age eighteen. Following twenty-one wonderful, fulfilling years traveling the world, she retired in Washington State and settled down to outwit, outlast and outplay the teen years of her only daughter, often a lead character in Bess’s books. Tossing said child to the wolves of a respectable university, Bess used every penny of the GI Bill, educated herself with a master’s degree in counseling psychology and took off for the potato plantantions of Idaho to counsel those in need. Three years of toe-tapping, seat shifting, stressful “homesteading” later, Bess sold her house, bought a truck and RV and hit the road once again with an aim to write romance novels on sunny beaches in the winter and work for the National Park Service during the summer. It’s not the easiest life, but somebody’s got to do it!
